Hackers are TOME players who have hacked their accounts to allow them to do things not intended to be possible for ordinary players, such as causing damage to the world's graphics or letting them create corrupted battle grids.
On the 2011 web series, Hackers usually work for D-Buggers.org, who have hired them to obtain an unspecified "ultimate power". They frequently get into fights with Alpha, Gamecrazed, Nylocke, and Flamegirl, who try to put an end to their wrongdoings.
On the RPG game adaption, there are a variety of players whom have hacking capabilities. Hackers such as The Trouble Makers and The New Victors are work-for-hire "black hat hackers", employed by former beta-tester Zetto to rig the Campaign of Champions for his favor. Other hackers such as The Soupy Slime Siblings, Ravenfreak and Dustbunny merely use their hacking abilities to cause destruction and have the game played in their favor. However, there are also white hat hackers such as the aforementioned main character who used their hacking abilities to assist others and prevent any hackers from cheating.
